The "racist and xenophobic" attack on Vinicius Jr. by Real Madrid has been condemned.
Real Madrid stated through its website on Friday that the club has instructed its legal services to take legal action against anybody who uses racist comments toward its players, ahead of their LaLiga rivalry match with Atletico Madrid this weekend.
"Real Madrid CF opposes all types of racist and xenophobic statements and actions in the sphere of football, sport, and life in general," said the statement from Real Madrid. "This includes the sad and horrible remarks made in recent hours against our player Vinicius Junior."
Vinicius Junior is a player who views football as a way of life based on joy, respect, and sportsmanship. Real Madrid wishes to express its love and support for him in the most sincere way possible.
"Because football is the most international sport there is, it must serve as an example of morality and harmony.
"The club has directed its legal department to pursue legal action against anyone who disparages our players in a discriminatory manner."
Recall that for his dancing celebration, Vinicius was the target of a racial comment.
The Brazilian international is renowned for dancing at the corner flag in front of fans, whether they are in the home or away end of the stadium, to celebrate the majority of his goals.
Bravo, the head of Spanish football agents, spoke about Vinicius' celebration when appearing on El Chiringuito.
