Princess Folasade Nurudeen has been asked to stop posing as the Iyaloja-General in Oyo State by market women operating under the auspices of the Conference of Iyalojas.
The market leaders disclosed this information in a statement on Tuesday.
It is the state's top position for market women.
According to information obtained by bendelnews, Alhaja Saratu Aduke, the current Iyaloja-General of Oyo State, is still in office.
However, it was discovered that Nurudeen had been posing as the state's market women's leader, a move that the Iyalojas conference had protested.
In a statement that was signed by Alhaja Rafata Wahaab, the group advised Nurudeen to stop what she was doing.
The Iyaloja of Ogbomosoland, Wahaab, claimed that Nurudeen's act had the potential to undermine the existing harmony among the traders.
Wahaab continued by saying that no one could become the state's chief trader without first holding a number of positions within the organization to which they belong.
Princess Nurudeen has received numerous warnings not to pose as a trader in Oyo State, the woman said.
"We are more than prepared to put an end to Princess Folasade Nurudeen's illegal actions. She was planted by minor uprisings among traders to undermine the peace and tranquility that traders in Oyo State enjoy, and if we don't, they'll continue to deceive the public.
For instance, Alhaja Saratu Aduke, the current Iyaloja-General of Oyo State, has held a number of posts in the past, including those in unit, local, zonal, and state government. In fact, she is still the association's president today. She was one of the original traders who established Bodija International Market many years ago.
