NIGERIA POLITICS: According to NOI polls, Obi will win the 2023 presidential election.

According to a national survey that was done in early September, Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party's candidate for president, would end up winning the 2023 presidential election.

The surveys were held in each of the six geopolitical zones, according to a statement released on Thursday and signed by Mr. Atedo Peterside, President & Founder of Anap Foundation.

The opinion surveys, according to Peterside, were commissioned by the Anap Foundation and carried out by NOI Polls Limited.

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, and Obi, the presidential candidates for the All Progressives Congress (APC), were all in a very close fight, he said, according to the surveys (PDP).

Given the huge number of voters who are still uncertain, it was noted that the September 2022 polls were inconclusive in terms of determining a clear victor.

However, it stated that Anap Foundation has come to the conclusion that the trends are obvious enough to identify the front-runners, adding that forthcoming polls would focus only on the four front-runners.

All other candidates obtained statistically insignificant results, according to the announcement.

With 21% of voters saying they would support Mr. Peter Obi if the presidential election were held today compared to 13% each for Asiwayu Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar, who are tied for second place, the data showed that Mr. Obi has a commanding lead. With only 3% of voters suggesting they vote for him, Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso came in fourth place.

"Mr. Peter Obi's 8-point lead at this early stage is considerable, but it is insufficient to entirely distinguish him from a leading pack of candidates scoring 21%, 13%, and 13%, respectively.

Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), who is the only outsider and a "black horse" in the race, is currently trailing the main group by a substantial margin.

The polls showed that 32% of voters were undecided, compared to 27% of men, and 15% of voters said they would prefer not to reveal their preferred candidate. Of the undecided voters, 39% were female and 27% were male.

It stated that the four front-runners for the presidency would be the subject of upcoming polls.
