Terrorism: AIG Attacked By Terrorist, Heavily Wounded And One Of His Guards Dead In An Ambush.

The convoy of Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 12 with headquarters in Bauchi, Audu Madaki, was ambushed by suspected terrorists, who wounded him and killed one of his security guards.

It was discovered that the AIG was travelling from Bauchi to Abuja when the alleged terrorists ambushed and attacked him, albeit the reports are still hazy as of the time of posting this article.

According to source, the incident occurred on Tuesday at or around 2.30 p.m. in the Kaduna State neighbourhood of Barde and Jagindi.

AIG Audu Madaki was shot at and hurt during the incident, while his orderly was killed, a source at the Zone 12 headquarters said our correspondent.

AIG needs additional personnel to combat security
Security has reportedly been increased around the Zone while the AIG is reportedly seeking treatment at an unidentified hospital.

Another source disclosed that armed Police officers had been dispatched to the region to search the underbrush for the terrorists.

Several attempts to reach Thomas Goni, the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, to acquire a confirmation were unsuccessful because he didn't answer the phone.

As of the time this report was filed, he also didn't return the call.
