The Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, have requested that Google take down their YouTube channels.
According to NAN, Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, based his argument on IPOB's status as a banned group.
Mohammed made the call on Thursday in Abuja while hosting a group of Google representatives.
He named a number of them, including Asa Biafra TV, Biafra Digest TV, Umu Biafra TV, and Biafra Digest.
The minister bemoaned the fact that some of these networks broadcast in local languages and dialects to avoid being regulated.
"IPOB, a terrorist organisation that has been outlawed, prefers to use your platform.
"We beg you not to give them access to your platform for their acts of violence and unrest.
He continued, "We hope you would work with us and our security agencies in this direction.
