Jota, a Portuguese winger, explained why he chose to sign with Celtic.

He claimed that playing in the Champions League significantly influenced his choice to go out on loan from Benfica.

The 23-year-old Jota joined the Scottish champions last season on loan from Benfica and scored 13 goals to help them win the title.

After the season ended, the 23-year-future old's was the subject of rumours.

But the Portuguese has committed to Celtic for five years, reportedly paying £6.4 million.

Speaking to the media after inking his new contract, he explained that he made the decision to leave Benfica because he wants to play Champions League football for Celtic.
