Tinubu-Shettima: The Anglican Church Has Made Public Their Stand On The Muslim-Muslim-Ticket Of The APC.

The Muslim-Muslim ticket for the All Progressives Congress, APC, was criticised by the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, as an insult to Christianity on Wednesday.

Rev. Dr. Duke Akamisoko, the Anglican Bishop of Kubwa Diocese, predicted that Christians would make their decision in response to the APC's decision between Muslims and non-Muslims.

Bola Tinubu, the APC's presidential candidate, chose Kashim Shettima, a Northern Muslim, as his running mate despite the protests of Nigerians.

Akamisoko responded by calling the Muslim-Muslim ticket disrespectful.

During the 2022 Pre-Synod briefing in Abuja, he addressed the media.

"Muslim-Muslim ticket at this time is a manifestation of insensitivity to the variety of religions, the polarised state of Nigeria, the plight of Christians un Nigeria, and the sentiments of Christians in Northern Nigeria," said Akamisoko.

It is a clear affront to the entire Christendom, in fact. The APC has made a decision; it is now for to Nigerian Christians to follow suit.

"There can never be a logical justification for the APC's egotistical, greedy, and self-centered action. The APC should not prioritise its political survival over Nigeria's stability and peace.
