Cristiano Ronaldo's future has been discussed by Sir Alex Ferguson, the renowned manager of Manchester United.
Ronaldo looked up to Ferguson during his initial tenure at Manchester United, which lasted from 2003 to 2009.
To participate in the Champions League in 2022–2023, Ronaldo has sought to be released from Man United.
During a meeting with club representatives on Tuesday at Carrington, the 37-year-old also reaffirmed that position.
Goal reports that Man United has urged Ferguson, who is now a director, to step in.
The similar strategy was used by Manchester United to persuade Ronaldo to reject Manchester City and return to Old Trafford last summer.
