Shettima : We were hired from a motor park and promised to be paid N100,000 each.

Information has come to light regarding claims that the All Progressives Congress, APC, invited Christian clergy members to take part in the introduction of the party's vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima.

Recall that on Wednesday in Abuja, APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu announced the former governor of Borno State as his running mate.

Social media is inundated with videos of bishops who attended the event clad in cassocks because to the issue around the same faith ticket.

According to bendelnews, Nigerians are currently criticising the ruling party for allegedly hiring phoney bishops in an effort to claim support from the Christian community in the presidential election.

One of the "bishops," Joseph Odaudu, claimed they were hired from a car park in an interview with the Peoples Gazette.

He claimed that the APC members promised to give them each N100,000.

He regretted, however, that he had only received N40,000 as opposed to the promised N100,000.

They promised to give me N100,000 when they met us in the parking lot behind Eagle Square.

They provided us with lunch and sent us to another location where they provided us with clothing so that we could dress as reverend fathers and Christian leaders, Mr. Odaudu told The Gazette.

"However, when we were done, they only gave me N40,000, and another individual reported receiving N30,000. Given that they claimed to have N100,000 for us, I don't understand why they amended our agreement.

He continued, "I am a Christian and I support Tinubu, but I despise when people lie and break their commitments.

The reports of false bishops, according to the Tinubu Campaign Organization, TCO, have been refuted by clerics with modest reputations.

Bishops were not hired, according to a statement made by TCO's Director of Media and Communication, Mr. Bayo Onanuga.
