JUST IN: Wike finally speaks out about the issue within the PDP and labels Atiku a liar.

Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, has responded to every problem that arose during and following the People's Democratic Party presidential primary election (PDP).

Recalls that Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, won the party's nomination for president in 2023 following the primary election.

The former Vice President was called a liar by Wike, who spoke on Friday at the Port Harcourt International Airport in the Rivers State shortly after his return from Spain.

"I told my special adviser on media that I am going to speak on issues," the speaker said. In this area of our world, we are aware that when lies are stretched into facts, they become true.

"I've always believed that the right should speak as well when the left does. We do not get younger as time goes on, and we age.

"So it's crucial to be able to convey this portion of my narrative when topics are discussed or speeches are given, so that the general public is aware of the reality.

It is so bad that I opted to keep silent after our primary because I adore this party so much. I remained silent and took the decision to return home to keep my vows to the residents of Rivers State.

But eventually I'll have to speak up and let Nigerians know the real story. Whatever they choose to do with the information now that they are aware of it is up to them.

"Any right-thinking person and supporter of this party will say that the speech Atiku Abubakar gave to introduce his running mate on that particular day was fair.

Ignore his hailers; neither the scavengers nor I responded. No, I argued, this gathering belonged to us all.

"Atiku then made a statement on Arise TV; view it here. There were so many lies spread, and you advised me not to respond to some of those problems. That won't be just.

If I were to pass away today, everything he said would undoubtedly be believed to be true.
