EPL: Ronaldo dropped from Atletico Madrid game amid desire to leave United this summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo will not play for Manchester United in their preseason friendly match against Atletico Madrid on Saturday because manager Erik ten Hag did not include Ronaldo in his roster.

The remaining members of the team have now arrived in Oslo, Norway, which is the location of the upcoming encounter.

Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez, both of whom are new to the team, are two of the 21 players whom Ten Hag has selected for the game.

According to a statement that was published on United's official website, "Some of those absent from the squad will participate in the game against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday, while others are ill or injured."

The choice of Ten Hag comes at a time when Ronaldo is expressing a wish to depart United this summer.

The 37-year-old wants more than anything to leave the Red Devils for a club that will be competing in the Champions League.
