[CAF Award 2022]: Mane Beats Mo' Salah And Mendy To Win CAF Award While Asisat Oshoala Becomes Fifth Winner Of The Women Category.

Asisat Oshoala, a striker for the Super Falcons, has been honoured with the CAF Women's Player of the Year award for 2022.

At a ceremony that took place on Thursday in Rabat, Morocco, the winner, who is 27 years old, was revealed to the audience.

It is the sixth time that Oshoala has taken home the trophy, which puts her ahead of her fellow countrywoman PerpetuaNkwocha.
Oshoala has been named the best female footballer in the African continent in each of the years 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019.

In the men's competition, Sadio Mane emerged victorious, besting both Mohamed Salah and Eduard Mendy on his way to being named the 2022 CAF Men's Player of the Year.

Pape Matar Sarr was selected as the Young Player of the Year for the men's division (Senegal & Tottenham Hotspur)

Desiree Ellis was selected as the Women's Coach of the Year (South Africa)

Aliou Cisse was selected as the Men's Coach of the Year (Senegal)

Mamelodi Sundowns was awarded the title of Women's Club of the Year (South Africa)

The Wydad Athletic Club was selected as the Club of the Year for the Men (Morocco)

Senegal was named the best men's national team of the year.

Pape Ousmane Sakho of Senegal and Simba FC scored the best goal of the year.
