If France international Ousmane Dembele leaves Barcelona this summer, the 34-year-old has surfaced as a possible successor.
The contract of Di Maria with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of this month.
Di Maria's exit from PSG has already been confirmed by the club.
However, if Dembele does not renew his contract at Camp Nou and goes on a free transfer in the following days, Barcelona will pursue Di Maria.
