Ortom claims Buhari's administration sent assassins to slaughter farmers in Benue.

Benue State's governor, Samuel Ortom, blamed the federal government on Wednesday for the killings in his state.

The federal government, according to Ortom, sent "people" to kill farmers in the region.

In an interview with Arise TV, the governor said that his administration is unable to produce Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) due to the purported conduct of the Federal Government.

He bemoaned the fact that the killings had caused Internally Displaced Persons, or IDPs, to proliferate in the state.

Ortom claims: "My IGR is poor due to the country's security condition; I can't grow IGR. Today, when I talk to you, nearly 1.5 million people are IDPs and are no longer going to farms.

People have been sent to kill farmers on their farms by the Federal Government and COAS.

"How do I raise IGR? It's rainy season now, yet farmers aren't going to their farms.
