Ogun Church Attack: Gunmen stormed A Celestial church, kidnap two.

Two worshippers were seized by gunmen who stormed the Celestial Church Christ, SBJ Oshofa in Wasimi, Ewekoro Local Government Area, Ogun State.

Oluwaseun Ajose, the parish's Assistant Shepherd, and Dagunro Ayobami, a Sunday school instructor, are the victims.

The gunmen stormed the church around 11 p.m. on Monday, June 13, according to a DailyTrust report, and whisked away the worshippers.

According to reports, the church is located in a remote area, allowing the hoodlums to operate freely.

In search of the victims, a joint security team comprising police and local vigilantes has been combing the forest in the region.

On Tuesday, June 14, the parish shepherd, Oluwatomisin Ehuwaojomo, confirmed the kidnapping and stated the kidnappers had contacted the church and demanded a ransom of N50 million.

"The kidnappers originally refused to speak with me when my assistant called over two hours after they left," he added, "but on his third effort, they spoke with me and asked a ransom of N50 million."

"I explained to them that I am a God's servant who does not receive a salary. I've spoken with the police commissioner, and they're looking into it."

Meanwhile, Denis, a church member, stated that the gunmen, whom he believed were herders, tormented a pregnant woman but left her behind because she couldn't work.
