Lagos attack video: Buhari Estate is a nigeria police property, not a hangout for criminals--The IG orders an investigation.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) claims ownership of the Muhammadu Buhari Estate in Agemowo, Lagos State.
The Nigeria Police Cooperative Multipurpose Society owns the property, the NPF confirmed on Saturday.

Fulanis have allegedly camped in the estate in preparation for an attack in Lagos, according to videos and WhatsApp voice notes.

The property is occupied by families of officers who purchased apartments under the Police Cooperative Scheme, according to a statement by Force Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi.

The spokesman stated that "a mischievous alarmist's" claim that armed men were living on the estate was false.

"It is unpatriotic that the video's creator, who appeared educated and ought to be aware of the dangers of disinformation, hurriedly and maliciously created and disseminated the falsehood."

Adejobi went on to say that the individual was clearly trying to create unnecessary and avoidable panic in Lagos.

The FPRO advised the public to ignore the video because "the claims are completely false and frivolous."

To avoid dissatisfaction in the country, the Force said it was critical to conduct due diligence before churning out narratives with sentimental overtones.

Usman Baba, the Inspector-General of Police, has ordered a probe into the "fake news," according to Adejobi.

The IGP also ordered Abiodun Alabi, the Force Intelligence Bureau and Lagos Police Commissioner, to apprehend and prosecute the perpetrator.
