St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, in the Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, was shaken by an explosion on Sunday.
The explosion on the church grounds, according to accounts, killed numerous individuals and injured many more.
The incident, according to eyewitness Kehinde Ogunkorode, produced havoc in the area, with locals running for safety after being caught off guard.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu hails from Owo.
