A video has been circulating on social media recently showing a mass of youths gathered to register for the Permanent Voters Card (PVC) at an Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) registration office in Enugu, in the Southeastern state of Nigeria.
Some youths can be seen selling soft drinks and 'Okpa,' a native delicacy popular among Igbos in the Southeast, in the film, which has since gone viral. As some of the youths were heard singing in the Igbo dialect, the environment appeared to be very peaceful and quiet.
As expected, the short footage has piqued the interest of a number of well-known figures, who have resorted to social media to express their opinions on the viral video.
Remember that thousands of people congregated at the landmark Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Lagos over the weekend for a PVC concert, where they were able to register for their PVCs.
According to reports, the gathering was so big that the INEC employees and their registration machines were overwhelmed.
