Reverend Fr. Vitus Borogo, a Catholic priest, was shot and killed in the state of Kaduna by individuals who are believed to be bandits.

According to the information gathered by DAILY POST, the incident took place on Saturday at the Prison Farm in Kujama, which is located along the Kaduna-Kachia Road. The raid took place on the farm.

This information was disseminated to the public on Saturday evening through a statement that was distributed by Reverend Fr. Christian Emmanuel of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria.

The following is an excerpt from the statement: "It is with a heavy heart, but with total submission to the will of God that we announce the death of Reverend Fr. Vitus Borogo, which sad event took place today, at Prison Farm, Kujama, along Kaduna-Kachia Road, after a raid on the farm by terrorists. The Catholic Archbishop of Kaduna, Most Rev. Matthew Man-Oso Ndagoso, extends his condolences to the immediate family, the NFCS Family of Kaduna Polytechnic, and indeed the entire Kaduna Polytechnic Community; and assures them of his brotherly closeness and prayers.

The priest, who was 50 years old at the time of his death, served as the Chaplain of the Catholic Community at the Kaduna State Polytechnic till the time of his passing.

In addition to that, Rev. Fr. Vitus served as the Chairman of the Kaduna Chapter of the Nigerian Catholic Diocesan Priests Association (NCDPA).
