President Muhammadu Buhari has denounced the attack on the St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo state, which resulted in the deaths of many people.
The gunmen exploded explosives before firing at the congregation, according to bendelnews.
Buhari's spokesperson, Femi Adesina, claimed in a statement posted on Sunday, June 5, that "only fiends from the nether region could have devised and carried out such a wicked act."
He also expressed his condolences to the bereaved families, the Ondo state administration, and the Catholic community.

"President Muhammadu Buhari has denounced the horrific massacre of worshippers at the St Francis Catholic Church on Owa-luwa Street in Owo Kingdom, Ondo State, on Sunday."
