Ballon d’Or 2022: Mo Salah Reveals His Next Move He Doesn't Pick This Year Award.

Mohamed Salah, a Liverpool attacker, has stated that if he does not win the Ballon d'Or this year, he will do everything in his power to win it next year.

Salah revealed to France Football that Real Madrid's Karim Benzema may be the favourite for the individual award.

This comes after Madrid's 1-0 victory against Liverpool in the Champions League final earlier this month.

Salah is anxious to join Liberia's George Weah as the sole African winner of the award, but admits he may have to wait.

"I want to win it to join George Weah, the only African," added the 29-year-old, who ended last in the pecking order in 2021, with Lionel Messi winning his seventh Ballon d'Or.

"It's true that my rating in 2021 astounded me. Even though I had a good game in the final, the [Champions League] defeat versus Real Madrid is a negative this year.

"However, it does not negate anything I've accomplished over the last few months." Let's see how the vote goes. And if I don't win the Ballon d'Or in 2022, I'll do all in my power to be the next winner.
