Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) presidential candidate, has disclosed that he promised Governors elected on the party's platform that he would pick one of them as his running mate.
In his speech, Atiku confirmed Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State as his running partner for the election next year.
"We need to win the elections and get to work as soon as possible." My running companion must be willing to start working with me right once to address our country's problems. Nothing less will be tolerated by Nigerians.
"That's why I promised our party's Governors that my running mate would be chosen from among them." "Our current circumstances necessitate a government that is laser-focused and disciplined," added Atiku.
Governors of Rivers and Akwa Ibom states, Nyesom Wike and Emmanuel Udom, were said to be the other candidates Atiku had to choose from.
