Following a severe downpour, a first-year student at Imo State University Owerri (IMSU) was reportedly struck by lightning and killed.
Chiamaka Obodo, 20, was inside her parents' house in the Obilubi Obazu Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State, making a phone conversation when lightning hit.
Before aid could arrive, she died on the spot.
The deceased's body has been taken to the nearest mortuary.
