Richard Akinnola, a spokesman for Yemi Osinbajo's campaign, has reacted to the fact that Bola Tinubu, a presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress, APC, is currently in the lead in the party's presidential primaries in Abuja.
Akinnola told Tinubu how happy he was that he was already in the lead in the presidential primary in Abuja.
In a post on Facebook, Akinnola said that he doesn't feel bad about helping Osinbajo run for president after Muhammadu Buhari.
Akinnola said, "Congratulations to Asiwaju Tinubu, who is thought to have won the primaries. There must be a winner in every contest.
"However, I'm very proud of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, the person I chose to back.
"I have no iota of regret over my support for him. It was an honour to be so important to him during the process. I would be happy to do it again and again. It's a question of faith."
The APC presidential primary was held yesterday at Eagles Square, where APC delegates voted.
After the voting went well, the people in charge of the APC Special Convention have started counting the votes.
So far, Tinubu seems to be ahead of the other presidential candidates in the polls.
