Imo West Senator Rochas Okorocha has suggested that President Muhammadu Buhari's pick may surprise Nigerians ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Buhari's choice of a prospective successor, according to Okorocha, may surprise Nigerians since he is unexpected.
In an interview with Channels Television, Okorocha, the Presidential hopeful, said that before endorsing any politician for the president in 2023, Buhari will evaluate a number of issues.
"However, if you know President Muhammadu Buhari, you will know that he is a general," Okorocha said. You can't count on him. You never know what he'll do because he's so unpredictable. He has the ability to catch anyone off guard at any time.
"That explains why he has military training." Anyone (referring to presidential candidates) who meets him will hear the same thing he says to A as he does to B.
"If someone comes out and says Buhari has endorsed him, they are not telling the truth." It's possible that the president has a candidate in mind. Nobody knows about it because he hasn't told anyone.
"I'm sure President Buhari will want to gauge the mood of the country. He will also take into account the public's interests.
"He'll also think about who can help the party win the election." President Buhari's decision would be influenced by a slew of factors that he must weigh.
