Ghana FA fires Rajevac after poor performance

based on Ghana's lacklustre performance at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON), the country's Sports Ministry urged the Ghana Football Association to fire its Serbian manager, Milovan Rajevac, in an emergency meeting yesterday, according to African Sports Today.

Despite the FA's reluctance to terminate Rajevac, the Ministry appears to have won the battle for the Serbian's future.

Rajevac led Ghana to the 2010 AFCON finals and the 2010 World Cup quarterfinals in his first term with the Black Stars.

His second stint did not go as planned, as Ghana failed to win at the 2021 AFCON, a first in the Black Stars' history.

The Ghana Football Association is set to issue a statement on the terrible event soon, according to reports.
