Jose Mourinho, the manager of Roma, has turned down an offer from Everton and maintains he is happy in Italy.
Rafa Benitez was ousted by the Toffees last week, and Mourinho was being considered as a successor.
Although no formal approach has been made, Everton owner Farhad Moshiri is considering bringing the former Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur manager to Goodison Park.
Mourinho, according to Sky Sports News, wants to stay in Rome and is still committed to Roma.
Mourinho has only been with the Serie A club for six months of a three-year contract.
Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney are still the leading candidates for the job.
