In a new raid carried out by Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State's Chibok Local Government Area, 17 girls are said to have been kidnapped.
According to SaharaReporters, the terrorists kidnapped 25 females at first, but eight escaped, leaving 17 in custody. The insurgents stormed the town on Thursday night, shooting in all directions and driving civilians to flee haphazardly for safety.
The insurgents are alleged to have set fire to at least 20 homes, including a branch of the Nigerian Ekklesiyar Yan'uwa Church.
According to a local, the community's vigilante leader was the main target because the local guards were fighting rebels in the axis.
