Kelechi Iheanacho, a Nigerian forward, has stated that the Super Eagles are not under any pressure in Cameroon, despite reports to the contrary.
Nigeria advanced to the round of 16 of the competition after winning three of their four group matches en route there.
The Super Eagles defeated teams such as Egypt and Sudan, as well as their opponents from yesterday, Guinea Bissau, to get to the knockout stages with relative ease.
"Winning all three games is great, so we are quite pleased, and we are looking forward to the upcoming games," said the team's coach after the victory to reporters.
"Not at all, the supporters need to express themselves about what they witnessed, we are only concerned with our own game, and we are taking things one game at a time."
"We have been very strong in recent years, but the national team's new identity is extremely, extremely vital right now."
In terms of playing and moving between lines, we're well-versed." "We've got everything we need, so we just need to keep going," he explained.
