It appears that women who regularly sex have a more developed genital touch-related brain region.
The Journal of Neuroscience recently published a research on touch and cerebral development in 20 adult females.
A vibrating item placed above the underpants of female volunteers aged 18 to 45 was used to stimulate their clitorises while their brains were scanned.
Female volunteers were also asked how often they had sex in the last year.
The device vibrated, activating the somatosensory cortex.
The researchers found that women who had more intercourse had thicker brain areas in that area.
"We identified a link between genital intercourse frequency and the thickness of the mapped genital field," says study co-author Dr. Christine Heim of Berlin's Charite University Hospital.
That is, the more sex a woman has, the bigger the brain region.
This isn't the first study on sex's benefits to the brain.
In 2016, researchers at McGill University discovered that young women who had regular sex have better memory than their non-sexual counterparts.
