 Farmers in Buni Yadi, a community in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State, have been barred from going to their farms by the Islamic State-backed Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).

This action came after Nigerian troops neutralised terrorists who tried to infiltrate and attack the community recently.

Residents of Buni Yadi took to the streets Sunday night to celebrate a successful attack by Nigerian soldiers.

Insurgents from Boko Haram killed 58 male students from Buni Yadi's Federal Government College in 2014.

After the Sunday night attack, insurgents warned farmers not to go to their farms, military sources said.
