Kevin Bacon, a 25-year-old hairstylist, was apparently murdered by Mark Latunski, a man he met on the Grindr dating app.
Latunski's house in Bennington Township, Michigan, was located on December 28 with Bacon hanging from the ceiling by his ankles.
Someone has been arrested on suspicion of devouring a Grindr date.
After connecting on the gay dating app Grindr, he is said to have met Latunski on Christmas Eve of 2019. The next day, he was reported missing. When Bacon went missing, MLive said that he contacted his roommate, Michelle Myers, to indicate he was going out for a while.
Says Myers;
"I'm in complete disbelief at what's happened." Right now, it's just too much to take in."
Mark Latunski, according to court documents, had a violent sexual perversion, and Kevin Bacon became the scapegoat in a crime that shook the neighbourhood. Bacon's genitals were purportedly chopped off and eaten by him.
Karl Bacon, Bacon's father, said in a January 2020 interview with the Associated Press;
It is true that evil exists, and it has affected us.
When we heard the details, it was gut-wrenching.
"Kevin had a dark side, as evidenced by what was made public. He must have gotten himself into a situation he wasn't ready for.
He was a nice person who cared about others, and I'm going to remember him in the same way that everyone else remembers him.
By claiming that he "acted like nothing had happened," Latunski's ex-husband informed WJRT that he was unaware of the murder.

A Rolling Stone storey published in April 2021 stated that Bacon was suffering from despair, low self-esteem, and family issues at the time of his death.
According to Myers, Bacon's roommate, he was seeking for something to distract him from the fact that someone he didn't want to see was coming for the holidays.
That prompted him to have a look at Grindr, where he allegedly met his assassin. Rolling Stone said that he passed down game night with Myers and other friends to meet with Latunski for what was supposed to be a short encounter. He never made it back.
On February 3, Latunski's pre-trial proceedings will resume, and he has been held in a Michigan jail for the past two years. In October 2020, a judge declared that he is fit to stand trial.
