Prince Emmanuel Kanu, the younger brother of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, has claimed that Igbo politicians are orchestrating the killings and other violent situations in the South-East area.

He further stated that they do not want his brother to regain his freedom because they are the ones responsible for his misfortunes.

The IPOB leader, he claims, is being depicted as a threat to Nigeria's government.

President Muhammadu Buhari's regime, according to the IPOB leader's younger brother, cannot create peace in the South-East by deploying military forces, noting that only equity, justice, and fairness, which his brother has been demanding, will restore tranquility.

This was stated by Emmanuel in an exclusive interview with Roots TV, which SaharaReporters observed over the weekend.

"Politicians are doing everything they can to sabotage Mazi Nnamdi Kanu," he stated. They are all a part of whatever happens to him. They are putting in a lot of effort to ensure that Nnamdi Kanu is not released. Some politicians in the South-East are not telling the truth to the powers that be in Abuja. Nnamdi Kanu has been depicted as a menace. Nnamdi Kanu primarily seeks three things: justice, equity, and fairness.

"With guns and bullets, you can't achieve peace. It isn't possible. Of course, discussion is the most effective means of resolving conflicts. You can't take away our identity as Biafrans. Nnamdi Kanu is a symbol of unrest, but the challenges are universal. So what's occurring now is that people who profit from what happened previously are now selling false narratives about Nnamdi Kanu.

"The Eastern Security Network (ESN) is designed to hide in our bushes, protecting our farmlands and borders from invading terrorists. That is why ESN was created.

"I heard of the shooting of a DSS (Department of State Services) employee in Owerri by a police officer who mistook him for an unknown shooter. What do you do with that?

"In Nigeria, they have a method of playing politics that is based on competitiveness and nasty politics." So you see one political party fighting another, and at the end of the day, IPOB and ESN are blamed. That's what's going on right now, but we're not buying it."

Emmanuel stated that only Biafra can provide equity, justice, and fairness, emphasizing that he is aligned with the pro-Biafra separatist agitator's worldview.

He encouraged Nigeria's government to free Kanu, claiming that he is the only person who the people of the South-East listen to.

"We have extremists as well as fanatics in this regime." As a result, people are no longer content. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the only person they are listening to. So, if they say you should free him so they can stop doing whatever they're doing, why can't you listen to them and the people's voice?

Let me tell you something: if you want to hang a dog, you must first give it a terrible name. IPOB is not a violent organization. I've said it before and I'll say it again: the movement is peaceful. Now, what happens is that when individuals opt to stay at home, some of our people who go out to their business centers, politicians will send their people to assassinate them or to create a comical situation that they would tag on IPOB. That's exactly what's going on.

"Fairness, justice, and equity are what I seek today. That is where I stand if Biafra gives it to me. Make no mistake: wherever my brother stands, I stand as well "Added he.
