Chelsea have been linked with their former attacker Eden Hazard once again, despite the fact that Thomas Tuchel has previously given his honest assessment of the Real Madrid and Belgium wideman.

An ESPN story claims that the Blues are one of "a number of Premier League clubs" who have been "contacted regarding their interest" in bringing the 30-year-old attacker back to England. Currently, the winger is only worth £22.5million according to Transfermarkt.

Hazard played for Chelsea from 2012 to 2019, after which he joined Real Madrid for a fee in excess of £100 million. However, things have not gone smoothly for the Belgian international since arriving at the Santiago Bernabeu in January.

Declan Rice has issued clear transfer advice, with Chelsea expected to make a move for Manchester United target David de Gea.

Chelsea fans are saying the same thing about their 'terrible' star as Thomas Tuchel faces a setback due to injury.

Over the course of his two-year stay in Madrid, the former Chelsea star has been plagued by injury troubles, which has limited him to only 38 games in La Liga in just over two seasons.

In the Champions League last season, Hazard came up against the Blues and fueled speculation about a possible return to Stamford Bridge when he was photographed smiling with his former team-mates after Chelsea defeated Real Madrid to reach the final of the European championship.

When asked about Hazard and his future in the Spanish capital prior to the match, Tuchel praised the winger's abilities, a sentiment shared by the coach.

He is a high-caliber player who has been a crucial player for many years at this club and in this league, which is the most difficult in the world "Tuchel stated this during the previous season.

"It's incredibly constant. I have the utmost regard and admiration for him. He is a major player, and we have a large number of people that are familiar with him. He was a major player for this team and is now a member of the Real Madrid squad."

Hazard issued an apology to Real Madrid fans on social media after being photographed with his former team-mates at the end of last season. Hazard was pictured smiling with his former team-mates at the end of last season.

He penned the following: "Please accept my apologies. I've read a lot of different perspectives on me today, and it was never my aim to offend the Real Madrid supporters.

"It has always been a dream of mine to play for Real Madrid, and I came here with the intention of winning. The season is not done, and we must now unite to fight for the title of La Liga champions! Greetings from Madrid."

Hazard scored 85 goals and provided 61 assists for his team-mates in just under 250 games for Chelsea in the Premier League, earning him a reputation as one of the best wingers in the world after his departure from the club.
