Soccer: Xavi Prevented From Joining His Players In US Because Of His Previous Visit To Iran.

For the second time, Xavi Hernandez, the manager of Barcelona, has been refused admission to the United States.

This implies that he won't serve as the head coach for their opening preseason game versus Inter Miami.

With the rest of the team, Xavi travelled to Barcelona's airport on Saturday, but due to prior trips to Iran, he was unable to board the flight to the US.

Due to this, the LaLiga team made plans for Xavi to go out to meet his team on Tuesday. He still hasn't received the all-clear to leave, though.

Due to his previous affiliation with Qatari side Al Sadd as a player and coach, Xavi visited Iran three times over the course of the last five years.

He was asked for further information to support his trips to the Middle Eastern country because of Iran's diplomatic ties with the United States.

At least four days of Xavi's team's preseason practise have now passed without him.

When they play the MLS opposition, his brother, Oscar Hernandez, will be in charge. The manager will be hoping that his paperwork is in order in time to play Real Madrid in Las Vegas four days later.
