Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke has renewed his support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Adeleke described Tinubu as a “son of Osun State” while thanking him for supporting what he called a free and fair election.
Adeleke defeated APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji with 511,067 votes to secure another term as governor.
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu to seek a second term in office in the 2027 presidential election.
Adeleke made the declaration shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced him as the winner of the Osun State governorship election.

Speaking after his victory, the governor praised Tinubu for what he described as his support for a free, fair and credible electoral process.
Adeleke also described the president as a son of Osun State and said he was maintaining his earlier endorsement of Tinubu's 2027 presidential ambition.
“At this point, I must deeply appreciate Mr President, His Excellency Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his strong support for a free and fair election,” Adeleke said.
“President Tinubu is son of Osun State and I hereby reaffirm my earlier endorsement of him for a second term in the 2027 presidential election.”
Tinubu had earlier congratulated Adeleke following his victory in the keenly contested election.
According to the results announced by INEC, Adeleke won 19 of Osun State's 30 Local Government Areas, polling 511,067 votes in total.
His closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), won 11 LGAs and recorded 444,815 votes.
The victory means Adeleke will continue as governor of Osun State for another four-year term, while his renewed endorsement further highlights the political relationship between the governor and President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
