Rodri Agrees Personal Terms With Barcelona Ahead of Proposed Manchester City Exit

Manchester City midfielder Rodri has reportedly agreed personal terms with Barcelona ahead of a potential move to the Spanish giants this summer.

The 30-year-old Spain international has just one year remaining on his contract with Manchester City and is reportedly open to returning to his home country.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona have reached an agreement with Rodri over personal terms after submitting a contract proposal to his representatives.

Romano revealed the development on X, adding that negotiations between Barcelona and Manchester City are expected to begin as the Catalan club looks to agree a transfer fee and complete the deal.

Real Madrid have also reportedly shown interest in the midfielder, but Barcelona are currently said to be pushing ahead with their pursuit.

Rodri joined Manchester City in 2019 and has since established himself as one of the club's most important players. He has made 298 appearances across all competitions, scoring 28 goals and providing 32 assists.

According to Transfermarkt, the midfielder's estimated market value is currently around €55 million.

Rodri has enjoyed significant success at both club and international level, including winning the European Championship with Spain in 2024 and the Ballon d'Or in 2024. He also reportedly helped Spain claim the 2026 World Cup.

With his City contract entering its final year, his reported agreement with Barcelona could pave the way for a major transfer battle between the Spanish giants and the Premier League champions.
