Peter Obi Mourns Jallul Baba-Ahmed, Condoles With Datti Over Family Loss

Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has expressed grief over the death of Jallul Baba-Ahmed, brother of his former running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed.

In a condolence message released on Thursday, Obi described the news of Jallul’s passing as painful and shocking. He said his thoughts were with Datti Baba-Ahmed and the entire family during the difficult moment.

“My heart goes out to you and your entire family,” Obi stated in the message addressed directly to Datti Baba-Ahmed.

The former Anambra State governor prayed for the deceased to be granted eternal rest and asked God to give the family strength to cope with the loss.

“I pray Almighty Allah grants him eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus and gives you and your family patience and strength to bear this painful loss,” Obi said.

He also assured the Baba-Ahmed family of his support as they mourn their loved one.

“I stand with you in this difficult time,” the statement added.

The message has drawn reactions from supporters and political associates, with many offering prayers and condolences to the Baba-Ahmed family following the announcement of Jallul’s death.

The late Jallul Baba-Ahmed was a member of the prominent Baba-Ahmed family from Kaduna State, known for its involvement in education, business and national politics.
