Bruno Fernandes has raised concerns over what he described as inconsistent officiating, following recent on-field decisions.
Speaking in comments shared by Fabrizio Romano, the Manchester United captain suggested that refereeing standards are not applied evenly across players and matches.
“The rules are different for everyone, applied different for everyone,” Fernandes said.
He pointed to disciplinary decisions as an example, hinting at unequal treatment regarding cautions. “The difference in the yellow cards, you can also see it,” he added.
The midfielder, however, stopped short of going into further detail. “It's better that I don't say anything,” he stated.
His remarks come amid ongoing discussions in football over refereeing standards and consistency in decision making across competitions.
