Lagos APC Re-elects Cornelius Ojelabi as State Chairman at Onikan Congress

The Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Cornelius Ojelabi, has been re-elected for a second term in office.

Ojelabi, a pastor and former Commissioner for Rural Development in Lagos State, secured his return following a consensus reached by party leaders ahead of the state congress.

The APC state congress was held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, where party faithful gathered to reaffirm their support for the incumbent chairman.

Top party stalwarts were present at the event, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his deputy Obafemi Hamzat, and former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode. Members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) and other key stakeholders also attended.

Confirming the development, the Special Assistant on Media to the governor, Wale Ajetunmobi, shared an update on his X (formerly Twitter) page, stating that Lagos APC returned Ojelabi as chairman for another term during the state party congress held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

The re-election signals continuity in the party’s leadership structure in Lagos as preparations gradually build toward future political activities in the state.
