Melania Trump Faces New Legal Battle as Journalist Michael Wolff Sues Over Alleged Efforts to Block His Tell-All Book
Former U.S. First Lady Melania Trump is once again in the spotlight this time as the subject of a new lawsuit filed by journalist and author Michael Wolff, who accuses her of attempting to sabotage the release of his upcoming tell-all book.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Wolff claims Melania “deliberately and maliciously interfered” with his publishing agreement and defamed him through public statements aimed at discrediting his forthcoming book, titled “The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump (Redux).”
Allegations of Interference and Defamation
In his lawsuit, Wolff alleges that Melania Trump and her team spread false and damaging statements, accusing him of fabricating interviews, intimidating sources, and “manufacturing lies for profit.” These claims, Wolff says, led international distributors to back out of deals and cost him millions in lost publishing revenue.
The author, known for his explosive political books on the Trump administration, further claims he has proof that Melania personally instructed a public relations firm to contact media outlets and threaten legal action if they promoted or covered the upcoming publication. Wolff describes this as a “targeted smear campaign” aimed at ruining his professional credibility and financial prospects.
Connection to Epstein Allegations
The lawsuit also includes a letter from Melania Trump’s attorneys demanding Wolff retract and apologize for remarks he made in an interview with The Daily Beast, where he linked her to convicted s3x offender Jeffrey Epstein.
During the interview, Wolff suggested that Melania was “very involved” in the Epstein controversy and hinted that she could be a significant link in the alleged relationship between Donald Trump and Epstein — claims Melania’s legal team has strongly denied as “false, defamatory, and malicious.”
Wolff Seeks Court Protection and Damages
In his legal filing, Wolff is asking the court to declare that the content of his book is not defamatory, and to issue an order preventing Melania Trump or her representatives from further attempts to intimidate, harass, or obstruct the book’s publication. He also seeks monetary damages for financial losses and reputational harm.
Silence from Melania’s Camp
As of press time, Melania Trump’s representatives have not commented on the lawsuit or Wolff’s allegations. The case adds another chapter to the long-running tension between the Trumps and investigative journalists who have written about their private and political lives.
