EFCC to Arraign Pascal Okechukwu, aka Cubana Chief Priest, for Alleged Naira Abuse

 


The EFCC is set to arraign Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, before the Federal High Court in Lagos on April 17, 2024, over allegations of abusing the Naira currency, specifically spraying and tampering with Naira notes at social events, in violation of the Central Bank Act of 2007.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is scheduled to arraign Pascal Okechukwu, widely recognized as Cubana Chief Priest, before the Federal High Court in Lagos on April 17, 2024.

 Okechukwu faces allegations of abusing the Naira currency, particularly through the spraying and tampering of Naira notes during social gatherings, a violation of the Central Bank Act of 2007. 

The charges, filed on April 4 by the EFCC's prosecutor, Rotimi Oyedepo, and seven other legal representatives, accuse Okechukwu of committing these offenses on February 13, 2024, at Eko Hotel in Lagos.
