Concerns are developing regarding the actions of some criminal elements who are allegedly taking male genital parts while on the prowl in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja, and other states of the federation.Read full article

In various North Central states, particularly in Kogi, Nasarawa, Kaduna, and the capital, there have been more incidents of reported disappearances of genital organs in recent years.

Residents of the FCT have reportedly been living in fear due to alleged incidences of manhood "stealing" for more than a month at this point, according to DAILY POST, even though it is still unclear how the miscreants carry out such activities.

The deplorable tendency has resulted in several people being murdered by enraged youngsters who attacked suspects for purportedly being the reason for the mystifying disappearance of manhoods.

Various explanations exist for how the horrible crime is being committed in the city. While some claim that talking to the suspected manhood thief is enough to cause the victim's penis to vanish, others claim that physical contact, such as a handshake, is necessary.

According to Bendelnews, on August 23, the Nasarawa State Police Command revealed that some people had been attacked over similar claims in the state's Nasarawa Eggon, Obi, Lafia, and Keffi Local Government Areas while warning residents against applying "jungle justice" to the alleged organ thieves in the state.

However, the State's Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, said that a medical check of the alleged victims "gave them all a clean bill of health" and that the charges were without merit.

On September 20, a group of angry youngsters in the FCT's phase 2 Gwagwalada neighbourhood lynched an unnamed young man for allegedly snatching a neighbor's manhood.

Three days after the event, Lucky Josiah, a different local, was charged with causing the loss of one Rokeeb Saheed's manhood.

While confirming the unfortunate occurrence, SP Josephine Adeh, the Police Public Relations Officer, informed the Daily Post that officers from the command had been fast to respond to a distress call reporting that a victim was being lynched.

In contrast to the Gwagwalada event, Lucky was protected from the enraged throng by the police officers.

Saheed's male organ was "confirmed to be fine, and Lucky's injuries were treated," the PPRO stated, following medical examinations of Saheed.

Similar events have continued to be reported by city residents in both the city centre and satellite towns virtually everyday.

On Friday, a horrific video appeared online showing an alleged male thief being tortured and dehumanised by a mob, including some security personnel.

The man accused of taking two manhoods can be heard in the video claiming his innocence and that the accusations against him are false.

A false alarm

There are hints that some of the accusations made by the victims of manhood theft are untrue and might have evil intentions.

The majority of the alarms raised by the putative victims were staged, a security official in the FCT who did not want to be named in the media informed Daily Post.

He claims that some criminal elements on the loose in the city purposefully stir up trouble during a gathering of people so they can rob unwary residents.

He claimed that some criminals in the nation's capital are utilising the pattern to commit additional horrible acts.

About 80% of the alarms sounded by those individuals who assert that their manhood is missing are unfounded. The practise of stealing people's possessions is new.

The majority of the time, when these folks are in busy settings, one or two of them will report that their penises have been stolen. They only do it to draw attention.

The instant that other gang members start robbing phones, bags, and even cars, individuals usually forget about themselves and concentrate on what is happening in such situations.

You will start hearing things like, "My manhood is back," but where exactly from? by the time the putative victims discover that the jobs have been finished.

"The only way out of this is for whoever raises such an alarm and it is found that he lied, whether it be in the hospital or elsewhere, to be arrested and tried for raising false alarm. The tendency will diminish if the police take this action against at least three people, he claimed.

However, the confession might have been forced, the Nasarawa State PPRO told DAILY POST.

He claimed that the reason for the confession could have been related to the man's current state.

It is impossible to steal a man's genitalia.

Experts say the charges are mainly based on diabolism because it has nothing to do with science.

The trend is being attributed by locals to ritualists, notably internet scammers who may have dispatched lads into the city to devilishly harvest people's manhoods for sacrifices in order to entice their potential victims.

Senator Shehu Sani, a former federal lawmaker, spoke on the subject and bemoaned the fact that the Federal Capital was becoming a hotbed for accusations of manhood theft.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain voiced concern over how the allegedly guilty thieves are being killed by crowds in a post on his official X account, claiming they may be innocent.

He added, "Manhood stealing allegations are on the rise in Abuja, and lawlessness results when the accused or falsely accused are killed by a mob. Such assertions are not supported by science. Just magicians at work, that's all.

Dr. Kaleb Ugo, a physician, told Bendelnews on Saturday that it is physically impossible for a man's organ to vanish without a cut.

The charges, according to him, are "based on African magic and not facts."

Ugo, however, asserted that despite what purported victims claim, there are medical problems that may cause a man's virility to diminish but not completely vanish.

According to him, erectile dysfunction and peyronie's disease might cause the penis to shrink.

According to the doctor, peyronie's disease develops when the tunica albuginea, the lining that surrounds the corpora cavernosa and is known as the plague, starts to form in the body.

He claims that the disorder may cause the penis to be too short.

He claimed that disease-affected individuals will always realise that their organs are shorter than they once were.

According to Ugo's explanation of erectile dysfunction, a man's manhood may decrease if he doesn't have an erection for an extended period of time.

Like everything else, you don't expect something to stay the same when you stop using it for six months and your car breaks down.

"Somehow, the elastic tissue that extends the penis from the flaccid condition into the erect state might convert in a way that the penis loses its flexibility when our body stops having regular erections.

You will know you lost length when the penis is no more elastic because it won't stretch during an erection.

According to #Bendelnews, CP Haruna Garba, the FCT Commissioner of Police, issued a warning against disseminating untrue information on a purported organ disappearance.

The CP claimed that these rumours had caused widespread public worry and disruption of the peace.
