Miss Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma's Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results would be withdrawn, according to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), since she displayed a bogus score. Continue Reading.

Mmesoma received 249 on the test, not the 362 she is presenting, according to a statement released by the board's Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, on Sunday, July 2. Miss Ejikeme is accused of obstructing the organization's performance. Innocent Chukwuma, the creator of Innoson Motors, also gave Miss Ejikeme a scholarship worth N3 million in exchange for her score of 362 in the 2023 UTME.

The Statement reads:

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has been made aware of many articles in print and online media that highlight certain candidates for having achieved excellent test scores in the 2023 UTME.

The most pitiful of them all is the case of Miss Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, who claimed to have received a scholarship worth N3 million from Chief (Dr.) Innocent Chukwuma after claiming to have achieved a score of 362 in the 2023 UTME.

When one of the Anambra State Government's top officials called JAMB to validate Miss Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma's claim, the Board informed the Board that Miss Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma had really scored 249 and not the 362 she claimed, delaying the Anambra State Government's plans to honor her. In order to deceive the public and falsely gain a scholarship and other recognition, she had falsified her UTME results.

The Board wants to make it clear that individuals like Mmesoma are still active in misleading people who are eager to bestow honors on candidates without first getting approval from the Board.

Similar circumstances involved Atung Gerald in Kaduna, who stated to have received a 380. His ethnic community had raised the issue and requested that he receive special recognition, but the Board let them down by proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that Atung never acquired the application materials for the 2023 UTME, let alone showed up for the exam.

The Board therefore wants to caution the public to always double check these claims made by candidates with the Board before hastily bestowing them with honors they do not deserve. This is because certain software has been developed to allow candidates' sponsors to falsify their results and publish them in the media for entertainment purposes, defrauding good-hearted Nigerians like Dr. Innocent, the founder of Innoson Motors, who sincerely wants to celebrate their success.

We applaud individuals like Dr. Innocent Chukwuma and want to encourage other Nigerians who want to invest in the future of sincere children to never give up and to always make sure that they receive the real results from the board, as handled by the Anambra State Ministry of Education.

If they don't, they will be celebrating crime since this is just another brand-new fraudulent technique in use. The real findings, on the other hand, are with the Board and would be forwarded to their top-choice institutions at the proper time, so these candidates only succeed in altering what they currently hold.

It should be noticed that Miss Mmesoma had used the Board's portal to send a mail asking for her UTME results. She then manually inflate her scores and paste them on the 2022 UTME result sheet.

She was unaware that the Board had modified the look of the 2023 UTME result sheet. Nothing can affect her original score of 249, thus that remains the case.

Miss Mmesoma would face legal action for this dishonorable behavior, and her first finding would be overturned. Not only that, but the Board will also look into any candidates who falsely claim to have received greater marks than they actually did. When such candidates are detected, their initial results are immediately retracted, and they are turned over to the appropriate security agencies for prosecution.
