Continue reading According to bendelnews, the House confirmed on Wednesday that it will launch an investigation into the claims made against the schoolgirl by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). According to information provided to this newspaper, the committee's main goal would be to investigate and clarify the allegations made against Mmesoma.Representatives from the House of Representatives voiced their displeasure with the candidate's election outcome being withdrawn and the consequent three-year ban that was placed on her.The legislators argued that the little girl might have been the victim of adult manipulation or influence in this situation. They questioned the exam body's professionalism and emphasised the need to take the candidate's age and susceptibility into account in such situations. This development comes after JAMB on Tuesday disqualified Ejikeme from the UTME for three years due to an alleged fabrication of her results. The JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, stressed that of all the applicants who registered for the 2023 UTME, Mmesoma was the only one to produce an out-of-date notification sheet. In response, Mr. Benjamin said, "The Board has annulled Ms. Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma's 2023 UTME result and prohibited her from taking any examinations conducted by the Board for the next three years after carefully evaluating the seriousness of the infraction committed by Ms. Mmesoma."This newspaper earlier reported that the Anambra State government has also taken action by forming an eight-member committee to investigate the allegations against Mmesoma Ejikeme.
