The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is now undergoing repair and renovation, and the Federal Road Safety Corps, or FRSC, has announced a new traffic detour.
The Corps reported that the traffic has been redirected from linking the expressway at New Garage Lagos in a statement released on Sunday by its Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem.
He claimed that traffic from Isheri Olowora that was previously using River Valley Estate to connect to the highway and travel into Lagos had been rerouted to use Babcock College, which is located next to an Enyo gas station.
In order to connect the expressways at the BRT Bus-stop, drivers might pass via Ojodu and make a U-turn in front of FRSC Ojodu.
While instructing the FRSC Commands along the route to ensure that commuters experience the least amount of hardship possible, FRSC Corps Marshal Dauda Ali Biu also urged the driving public to exercise the greatest amount of patience and work with the law enforcement officials along the said routes, according to the statement.
