Nigerian singer Controversial Portable is in the headlines after sharing photos of his sallah (also known as Eid-el-Kabir) preparations on social media.
The Muslim holiday Eid-el-Kabir honours Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael in accordance with God's command.
Muslims sacrifice rams, cows, camels, or any other animals they may afford to honour the occasion. With some rams and cows already in his possession, Portable has certainly made preparations for a magnificent sallah celebration.
The Zazu Zeh musician posted footage of himself displaying the five cows and two rams he had bought before sallah on his official Instagram page.
Portable talked about how challenging it was, evidently delighted with his purchase. He insisted that they weren't gifts and that he had bought them on his own.
He considered the year a success. The meat, the Zazu singer continued, will be sent to mosques, kings, his father, and even his critics.
