Fuel subsidies: Shehu Sani asks Tinubu to explain to Nigerians what He have acquired from Buhari.

Shehu Sani, a former senator, has urged President Bola Tinubu to put party loyalty aside and be honest with the nation about the legacy former President Muhammadu Buhari's administration left behind.

Sani argued that it was unjust to expect poor Nigerians to make sacrifices without providing them with specific information about what occurred under the previous administration.

On Saturday, the social critic posted his demands on his verified Twitter account.

"The Tinubu Government must put party loyalty aside and inform the public of the facts contained in the handover book regarding the situation they inherited. Without knowing the specifics of what transpired under the circumstances, it is unjust to expect the poor people to make concessions u der the last administration", Sani tweeted.

Following the withdrawal of gasoline subsidies by the Tinubu administration and the ensuing increase in the price of petroleum products at the pump nationwide, he made this statement.

The Nigeria Labour Congress, or NLC, also threatened to call a statewide walkout for next Wednesday if the government did not return to the previous situation.
