Senator Dino Melaye, who served as the senator for Kogi West during the eighth National Assembly, has expressed interest in running for governor of Kogi State.
This was announced by the former congressman in a campaign flyer with the slogan "no more stealing and killings," which he posted on his official Twitter account on Wednesday.
According to bendelnews, the decision was made about a month after Atiku Abubakar lost the presidential race.
Melaye served as a spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party's PCC during Atiku's election campaign.
Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, the current president-elect, defeated PDP candidate Atiku.
