In the Benue State governorship election held on Saturday, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently in the lead.
The APC is in the lead with eight local government areas (LGAs), while the PDP has won in three LGAs, according to results from 11 of the 23 LGAs so far reported by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In the state collation centre in Markurdi, the state capital, Prof. Farouk Musa of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, the INEC State Collation Officer, said this.
Musa further stated that today's collation would take a break and resume at 5 o'clock (Sunday).
